Alrighty, here are some common questions you may have, that are not
answered above.
Q:What do I have to do in a guild?
A: To tell you the truth,
there isn't really anything that you must do to be in a guild, except for join it of course. Anyone can join
a guild, unless it is private, in which case you need to receive an invitation. Some guilds may claim that every week they
delete all the members who have zero posts on the message boards, but not ours. It's great if you keep active on the message
boards, participate in advertising and fun competitions, but the choice is left completely up to you!
Q:People are always using terms such as brb, ttyl, nr, and so on- but I have no idea
what they mean!
A:Yes, on neopets members often use short forms, that can tend to be a little confusing
at times. Here are a few that may help you out:
TNT: The Neopets Team, or The Neopian Times
HTML: Hyper Text Markup Language (it's the code that layouts are made
with)
Brb: Be right back
Ttyl: Talk to you later
Nr: Neo Related (ie: a pet, petpet, faerie or something that had to do with neopets)
Asap: As soon as possible
kk: Ok
HP: Harry Potter
TCG: Trading card game
Thats most of them, although I'm sure there are more. If you know of any majour ones, please
let me know. Thanks!
Q: The guild council says that I have to donate a certain amount of neo points to go
up a rank. Should I donate?
A: Now you're going to
have to trust me here- I have been in a ton of guilds before I decided to create this one, and unfortunately with many, that's
the way things work. Really, they could have heir accounts frozen for such thing, under the category of trying to trick, or
steel neopoints from another player. In our guild, you never have to donate, nor do you have to in any other.
In the~ Poetry Hut~, along with many other guilds, of course donating is appreciated, but think of it more as a gift.
Here at the Hut, you should never feel pressured to donate what so ever. We're here to make friends, and have a good time.
Please remember it's only a computer game- it's not worth stressing over. From the way I see it, I wouldn't donate for that
reason, but the choice is left completely up to you.
